Tra Vinh is a coastal province in the Mekong Delta, adjacent to the provinces of Ben Tre, Vinh Long, Soc Trang, situated between the Tien and Hau rivers. The province is about 130 km from Ho Chi Minh City and 100 km from Can Tho city. There are three main ethnic groups of Kinh, Khmer and Chinese in Tra Vinh, among them Khmer ethnic group accounts for 30% of the population.
The average temperature of the place is about 26-27 degrees Celsius, rarely stormy, so you can travel to Tra Vinh at any season of the year.

Hang Pagoda (Cave temple) is one of the most beautiful temples in Tra Vinh, located 5 km from the city center. The entrance to the temple looks like a cave, that’s why it is called Hang Pagoda. Another interesting point of the temple is that there are a lot of birds nest around the temple, so it also called Bird temple.
The 10-hectare Theravada Buddhism temple of Khmer pays an important role in the life and spirit of the people here. The temple is not only a place for the monks to practice spiritual ceremony but also a place of education for young people and preserves Khmer culture and arts of the nation.
Ba Om Pond
Ba Om Pond is a famous tourist attraction in Tra Vinh that you should not ignore. The pond is calmed and surrounded by green trees, the green color of the trees reflecting into the water creates a beautiful painting.
Around the pond are many giant ancient trees with huge shading canopy. In particular, you will be surprised to see the huge root systems of the trees on the ground forming strange shapes as a unique cave or a bench to stop for relax for everyone.
Ba Dong Beach
Located in Truong Long Hoa commune, Duyen Hai district, 55 km from the center of Tra Vinh town, Ba Dong beach was discovered long time ago by the French. However, Ba Dong nowadays still retains its wild character with white sand, clear water, fresh air and quiet atmosphere.
Coming to Ba Dong, you can have fun on undulating dunes, green towering casuarinas lines and flat stretching sandy beach. In addition, you can enjoy seafood and specialties of the Mekong Delta.
Rung Duoc Ecotourism Area (Long Khanh mangrove forests ecotourism area)
Rung Duoc Eco-tourism zone in Long Khanh commune, Duyen Hai districts, is one of the attractive tourist destinations in Tra Vinh. The mangrove forest here has been over 20 years, more than 200 hectares wide, and this is typical mangrove ecosystem in Southern coastal with high value of both economy and landscape.
This is where people conserve many animals including wild animals, birds and underwater wildlife. You can come to Long Khanh mangrove forests eco-tourism area by road or waterway.
Long Tri Island
